Full time (Tuesday to Saturday)

Under the supervision of the crop manager, the technician ensures the good health of the plants by applying all preventive methods and by intervening as needed to treat problems caused by insects and diseases affecting the plants.

– Protect plants (e.g. applying the various prevention methods, identifying
prevention methods, identifying enemies and allies, scouting and evaluating the situation, using intervention thresholds, etc.)
– Monitor production
– Replace the crop manager when absent
– Occasionally supervise a few workers
– Monitor crops
– Monitor pollination
– Monitor irrigation
– Participate in crop renewal
– Assist in all other related tasks as requested by the immediate supervisor

– College diploma
– Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in horticultural production
– Minimum 2 years experience
– Rigour, meticulousness, team spirit
– Languages: Spanish an asset

Full-time

As directed by the supervisor, perform the following tasks related to market gardening:

– plant at the beginning of the crop
– maintain the tomato plants
– harvest tomatoes according to company standards
– remove leaves from tomato plants according to instructions
– stake and sucker the plants
– prune plants
– apply organic fertilizer
– pack the harvested products
– clean up at the end of the crop

– Secondary 5 or equivalent
– experience in horticulture is an asset
